Hi.

The cfe(1) manpage is opaque a bit for a person that haven't used cfe(1)
before. This proposed patch would have solved this, for me:

+++ /tmp/cfe1.gz.23313  Fri Mar 26 19:14:33 2004

 .I cfe
automatically supports loading of .psf and raw binary fonts.
Other types of fonts can be opened using the proper options.
+.I cfe
+can edit up to 2 files in parallel (file1 & file2 in the SYNOPSIS above). The
+files are edited in-place.
 .SH OPTIONS
 .TP
 .B -a

Both additions are important: (1) That cfe in fact can edit 2 files, and
no more than 2 files, simultaneously, and (2) that it edits them
in-place, as any self-respecting UN*X editor would (and as some Debian
font-editing utilities don't, AFAICT).

Cheers,
Jan.

The cfe package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/328801 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
