Package: acpid
Version: 1.0.3-18
Severity: minor

When I press the power button, powerbtn.sh is correctly executed. But if
I'm logged in KDE, I get just logged out but the machine doesn't shut
down. If I'm not logged in, shutdown works.

I suspect this is because of gdm which was installed by default. Even if
I manually choose logout in KDE, I'm not given an alternative to
shutdown instead of just log out. Perhaps powerbtn.sh should check that
kdm is running in addition to kdesktop?

As a sidenote, I'm wondering if it would pay off to make the event system
a bit more complex. There could be shutdown.d that contained scripts for
KDE, Gnome and /sbin/shutdown etc. Or perhaps the KDE logout should be in
/etc/rc0.d/K00kde and powerbtn.sh shouldn't exist at all ?-)

With best regards,
Tuukka Hastrup
