Package: ncurses-base
Version: 5.4-3
Severity: normal
Hi,
Since the last update of ncurses-base, I'm seeing utf8 in vim when I
try to enter characters such as é, à , ë, and others (which are pretty
common in Dutch). The reason for this is that vim thinks Eterm
supports utf8, which it doesn't; and since you've updated Eterm's
terminfo entry in the last update, it might be possible that this is
the reason.
I tried to find out whether that's right, but I'm not really
comfortable with the terminfo format; if I'm mistaken, please reassign
this bug to the proper package.

cause was the assumption of having UTF8, which is default anyway since
etch, thus closing.
