Package: xtla
Version: 1.2.1-1
Severity: important

Hi,

xtla does not follow emacs policy, and that makes it very hard
to cuild a local version or do NMU's. It requires _every_ _version_ of
emacsen to be installed before the package can be built, and ships all
the .elc files for all variants (bloating the package), instead of the
common practice of compiling on the target machine.

This, of course, makes it very hard to add/remove new emacsen
variants; since it is no longer a simple matter of editing a case
 statement in ./debian//emacsen.install/remove.

The xtla package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/486727 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
