Interesting. I've just re-tried this and the thumbnail has
been rotated, still the same gthumb version though. I
wonder if this behaviour takes place in a library that I've
since updated?
When you rotate a JPEG in gthumb, it literally rotates the
JPEG data. I hope this is lossless! Some other tools
(f-spot) only change the orientation exif tag (which
guarantees not to cause data loss in the data portion of
the file).
