Severity: important
Debian builds of NSS are lacking support for ECC ciphersuites. This has
been standard in the 'official' firefox/mozilla distros since 2.x releases.
To verify: start mozilla or firefox depending on the libnss package
use ECC/TLS test at http://ecc.fedora.redhat.com/
To fix: add NSS_ENABLE_ECC=1 to debian/rules in the ./configure execution.
I am personally using a ubuntu-based system, but I have verified via
debian-git for the nss source package that this bug is valid since at
least 3.12.0~rc3-3.
