Package: wesnoth-all
Version: 1:1.4.3-1
Severity: wishlist
wesnoth-all already depends on all of the wesnoth campaign packages
for convenience, and thus it certainly doesn't seem like something
likely to get installed on a system attempting to selectively install
packages to control disk usage. Thus, how about making wesnoth-all
depend on wesnoth-music as well, for further convenience?

wesnoth-music is in the Recommends which are pulled in by default by
all sane package managers, so indeed it is already a dependency unless
you explictly changed the default of the package manager or explicitly
asked for the -music package to not get installed. Originally it had
been a hard depends until some user did ask for having it lowered to at
least Recommends so it will still get installed by regular users but
leaves people the chance to /not/ have to pull it.
And claiming that it can't be because of disk usage is a fairly low
claim - that leaves out net traffic. Some people also consider the music
to be annoying and turn them off anyway.
So no, pushing it back up from Recommends (which gets pulled in by
default) to Depends won't happen, sorry.
So long,
Rhonda
