Hi,

if the kernel is built without CONFIG_SECURITY_CAPABILITIES then the
16_min_privileges patch introduced with debian's 1.2.5-1 breaks gpg
entirely.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gpg
main(): could not install capabilities: Operation not permitted
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ grep CAPABIL /boot/config-`uname -r`
# CONFIG_SECURITY_CAPABILITIES is not set

This is on an amd64 machine, but I think the same applies to other archs
as well.

Hi,

gnupg hasn't built with capabilities support since version 1.2.5-3, upstream
advises against enabling it and we don't install setuid root anymore. I
believe this bug can be closed.
