I installed a fresh system with the Lenny Beta 2 image. When debconf

my surname (Manyà)

This has already been fixed, along other keymap and encoding issues, in
the current daily builds. See #490896 [1] for details.

My tests have shown that all issues have been fixed in the current daily
builds, I am thus closing this bug. Could you please try it yourself
and reopen this bug if the issue is still present?
