Package: bogofilter
Version: 0.94.4-1
Severity: wishlist

Bogofilter, in recent releases, has increased the options available
for database storage.

Berkeley DB transactions are now supported, but this leads to
administrative overhead for each user directory.

Since 0.93.3, bogofilter has been able to use SQLite (>= 3.0.8) for
its database storage. Some problems were fixed in 0.94.2, and now
require SQLite (>= 3.2.0).

Please provide an option for using either Berkeley DB (with or without
transactions; this is configurable after package installation) or
SQLite. Perhaps this is best done by splitting bogofilter into several
binary packages:

  - bogofilter (Depends: bogofilter-db)
  - bogofilter-db (the default Berkeley DB storage)
                    (Depends: bogofilter-common)
  - bogofilter-sqlite
                    (Depends: bogofilter-common)
  - bogofilter-common

Thus, installing 'bogofilter' or 'bogofilter-db' gets you the version
built for Berkeley DB. Installing 'bogofilter-sqlite' gets the version
built for SQLite storage. Installing any of them gets the common files
from bogofilter-common.
