Package: mozilla-browser
Version: 1.7.2-4
Severity: important
Everytime using a 'mozilla/gecko-driven' app, like galeon, mozilla
itself or kazehakase the app crashes when opening or refering (I mean
being directed to by a link) specific sites.
Reproducabily sites:
iriver.com or iriver.de's links
some nvidia-pages
The error-message:
--->8----
The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadShmSeg (invalid shared segment parameter)'.
(Details: serial 30 error_code 172 request_code 149 minor_code 2)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported
asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error()
function.)
---8<----
Depending on the app used, its either Gecko (for mozilla) or Galeon
or...
this error remains even when using
"mozilla --no-xshm"
an there's no more output even with --g-fatal-warnings

The libflash package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/497227 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
