Package: mn-fit-doc
Version: 5.05-1
Description: documentation for Mn_Fit
This package contains the manual of Mn_Fit in PostScript and PDF formats.
For more information about Mn_Fit, please see the description of the
mn-fit package.
the description should give at least some indication of what the package
is for, so that someone who has never heard of it before can decide
whether they want to install it or not.
telling the user that a -doc package contains documentation is redundant, the
user already knows that.
solution: cut and paste a minimal excerpt from the description of themn-fit
package into the desc for mn-fit-doc. e.g.
"Mn_Fit can perform a wide variety of mathematical fits and analyses
on data or histograms read in from a file"
note: same bug applies to mn-fit-dev and mn-fit-common.

Description:
mn-fit - interactive analysis package for fitting data and histograms
mn-fit-common - common files for Mn_Fit
mn-fit-dev - libraries and header files for creating a custom Mn_Fit
mn-fit-doc - documentation for Mn_Fit
Closes: 303012
Changes:
mn-fit (5.06-1) unstable; urgency=low
.
* New upstream release.
- Fix patch 05 to apply to new upstream Makefile.
- Fix patch 10 so that it works correctly with upstream's new library
structure.
- Note in mn_fit.1 and README.Debian that upstream's new Root interface
is not supported in Debian packages, since Root cannot currently be
officially packaged for Debian.
* Modify Build-Depends to compile against new Cernlib 2005.05.09-1 packages.
* Add very brief descriptions of Mn_Fit in the other three binary package
descriptions (closes: #303012).
* debian/watch: Use the fix given at
http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/04/msg00188.html
to change '_' to '.' in upstream version numbers.
