Sketch is a compiler, which transforms a scene description language
into pstricks or tikz macros for TeX. It is waiting patiently for you
to enter a scene description.

Perhaps you are confusing sketch with the interactive drawing package
skencil, which used to be called sketch?

I'm closing this bug report, since it does not describe a bug. If you
have a suggestion for how the documentation could be improved, please
file a priority wishlist bug.

Thanks,

David
