Package: gnuplot
Version: 4.2.2-1
Severity: important

*** Please type your report below this line ***
It crashes right away.
The output of a stackdump from gdb running gnuplot:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0xb7f9a428 in _dl_relocate_object () from /lib/ld-linux.so.2
(gdb) bt
#0 0xb7f9a428 in _dl_relocate_object () from /lib/ld-linux.so.2
#1 0xb7f9260e in dl_main () from /lib/ld-linux.so.2
#2 0xb7fa440d in _dl_sysdep_start () from /lib/ld-linux.so.2
#3 0xb7f8fc3e in _dl_start () from /lib/ld-linux.so.2
#4 0xb7f8f817 in _start () from /lib/ld-linux.so.2

so it really looks like a problem with libc. It runs fine on my laptop
though.
Maybe a bit offtopic, but kicad triggers the same segmatationfault
(produces the same stackdump). Should I file a bug regarding that
package as well?

Hi,

I think that's clearly a broken libc (or other lib) on your system,
not a gnuplot bug. I'm therefore closing this bug report.
