It's ok when being typed in, but as soon as you hit enter, the string in
the main part of the screen is all garbled.

Description:
 ekg2 - instant messenger and IRC client for UNIX systems
Closes: 480777 490341 501679
Changes:
 ekg2 (20081009+2105-1) experimental; urgency=low
 .
   * New snapshot from upstream
     - new plugins: rivchat, icq, remote
     - does not install useless header files
     - contains some function declaration corrections Closes: #480777
     - Ruby support disabled (unmaintained, considered too buggy). This happens
       to get rid of a bug triggered by the ruby plugin: Closes: #490341
     - improved legacy encoding locale support Closes: #501679
   * Do not install ekg2-config (removed upstream)
   * Improved and updated the copyright file a bit. There is still a lot to do
     on this subject (see debian/TODO)
   * Standards-Version bumped to 3.8.0
   * Updated DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS treatment to match current policy, and added
     parallel=N handling
   * Removed libjpeg and libungif build-dependancies and disabled the
     corresponding configure flags. The GG tokens (for reading of which they
     were needed) are not readable when displayed on an ascii screen any more.
