Hi,
The cron script that ships with the debian version of drupal5 relies on the
"base_url" variable to locate sites in order to run the drupal cron scripts
(accessible by urls of the form http://drupal-site/cron.php). This may fail,
since this variable is not normally needed. In case this mechanism fails,
the script falls back to access http://localhost/drupal5/cron.php.
This is reasonable for a simple site, but fails if there is more than one
site or if the user altered the path to the drupal install to be something
like http://localhost/cron.php, for instance.
I wrote a new version of the script that tries harder to figure out where
the cron script urls are. It is a hack, but probably solves this problem
most of the time. If I don't screw up with bugreport, it will be attached
to this message.
Thanks,
Nelson
