Hi,
During tests using piuparts of all packages in lenny,
I ran into the following problem:
> Reading package lists...
> Building dependency tree...
> Reading state information...
> The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer
> required:
> libgc1c2
> Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
> The following NEW packages will be installed:
> op
> 0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
> Need to get 45.0kB of archives.
> After this operation, 188kB of additional disk space will be used.
> WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!
> op

> Get:1 http://127.0.0.1 lenny/main op 1.32-3 [45.0kB]
> debconf: delaying package configuration, since apt-utils is not installed
> Fetched 45.0kB in 0s (311kB/s)
> Can not write log, openpty() failed (/dev/pts not mounted?)
> Selecting previously deselected package op.
> (Reading database ... 5779 files and directories currently installed.)
> Unpacking op (from .../archives/op_1.32-3_i386.deb) ...
> Can not write log, openpty() failed (/dev/pts not mounted?)
> Setting up op (1.32-3) ...
> /var/lib/dpkg/info/op.postinst: line 13: addgroup: command not found
> dpkg: error processing op (--configure):
> subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127
> Errors were encountered while processing:
> op
> E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
It is reproducible by installing your package in a clean chroot - cleaned
up using:
debfoster -o MaxPriority=required -o UseRecommends=no -f -n apt debfoster
