There's currently work going on for bringing GNOME 2.24 into experimental.
The new release of Vinagre needs gtk-vnc-1.0 >= 0.3.7, which doesn't
seem to be available in debian at the moment.
It would be really helpful if you could package a newer version for
experimental!
