gqmpeg takes as long as 20 minues to start up when I have a lot of .ogg
files in my play-list on my Pentium III 600 MHz (reading the files over
the network). This is obviously because ogginfo is reading the entire
file. Should a bug report be filed against ogginfo, or should gqmpeg
attempt to the read the song info some other way? In the mean time,
might it be possible to actually disable ogg file info in gqmpeg so the
program can be started in a reasonable amount of time on a system with a
lot of ogg files? In this case, the song info could just be replaced
with generic results and the filename.

The gqmpeg package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/507820 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
