Sorry, I'm not going to adjust *build dependencies* just because it may cause 
some side effects. Their sole purpuse is for building software in question, 
hence they are not needed for the software to work properly and they are not 
functional part of the typical system. If you are not satisfied with the side 
effects, use chroot or pbuilder/cowbuilder environment to build the package.

P.S. For the record, gnome metapackage is not gnome, it is just an empty 
metapackage which solve purpose is to pull in functional parts of GNOME.
