Thanks for your bugreport!
However, awstats_configure.pl is an unsupported example script.
It seems you edited it from using /usr/local/... paths to /usr/...
You should probably additionally adjust yourself somewhere to make it
work as you want.
So I am closing this as a non-bug.
Please do not let this discourage you from filing bugs again: We really
appreciate your effort, even if in this concrete case we judge it as not
relevant for us to fix.
