Subject: mysql-server: NIS user "mysql" makes mysql-server uninstallable
X-Debbugs-CC: Chris DuPuis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Package: mysql-server
Version: 3.23.49-8
Severity: normal

Installation of mysql-server fails if there is an NIS user named
"mysql". A more graceful solution would be to inform the administrator
of what changes (if any) need to be made to the mysql user.

hi,

i've just verified that both versions of mysql available in debian
can install just fine against an ldap/nis/db using host, so i am
closing this bug report. if you still have problems related to this,
we can reopen this bug at that time.
