Hi,
Since kernel 2.6.13, UML implements something called SKAS0 which
provides separate kernel address space without a need to patch the
kernel. See for example: http://lwn.net/Articles/142494/
My question is whether this separate patch is then still useful.
I can imagine two answers:
1) Yes, it provides some benefit over skas0. In that case my bug
is that the package description should make it clear that there's
no need to patch the kernel for most of the features (skas0) and
what extra this patch brings.
2) No, in which case the package may be removed from Debian.
BTW, the kernel-patch-skas dummy package can be removed already since it
was transitional for etch.
