Hi all,
this is a quite strange problem I am facing.

calling dselect update I receive a segfault from:

/usr/lib/dpkg/methods/apt/update line 42

that exanded is:

dpkg --admindir=/var/lib/dpkg/ --update-avail /var/cache/apt/available

In a vague attempt to strace the command.. it worked perfectly...
hounestly I am a bit puzzled...

What should i look for? Any help or info would be really appreciated
as well please let me know any kind of action i can take to provide
more information back.

Thanks
Fabio
