Package: es

Severity: important
Hi,
the current version of es fails to build on GNU/kFreeBSD,
because of outdated config.guess and config.sub.
The versions of config.guess and config.sub in es are too
old to correctly support Debian GNU/k*BSD. A version is needed
from last year, which is available in the autotools-dev packages
that are in current sarge, and sid.
You can simply copy them manually, but it can also be done
automatically using the method described in
/usr/share/doc/autotools-dev/README.Debian.gz
Please, update all occurences of config.sub/config.guess,
"find . -name config.sub -o -name config.guess" is your friend.
It would also be nice if you can ask upstream to update
config.guess and config.sub in their next release.
Thanks in advance
Petr

The es package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/503547 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
Kind regards,
