hi,
the two main feeds for italian channels are 'wfactory' and 'skylife' ,
and in the past did offer the main italian channels (rai1 rai2 rai3 rete4
canale5 italia1); but now they are both broken, so the italian xmltv 0.5.52 is
quite useless.
This problem was addressed and solved upstream.
I extracted the patches from CVS and created some new xmltv packages at
http://tonelli.sns.it/pub/mennucc1/xmltv/
Note that the new package is based on xmltv 0.5.54, and also offers
new italian channels such as boing iris rai4
