Package: powertweak
Version: N/A; reported 1997-01-02
Severity: normal

My machine is: 2 x Pentium II @ 350 MHz on an ASUS motherboard with
SCSI and IDE disks.

When I did a
        # apt-get dist-upgrade
today, a new powertweak came in. The install process starts it up. At
this point the machine hangs with some IDE disk errors. This happened
several times. It leaves the file system in a bad state and I have to
do fsck to clean up. I can't even say
        # dpkg --configure -a
because the first thing it does it continue powertweak install (which
hangs the system). I'm painfully trying to extricate myself out of this.

        -ans.

The powertweak package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/515588 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.

Kind regards,
