I encountered a problem with evolution. Because evolution didn't stop
correctly, it re-downloaded hundreds of mails I just had finished
downloading.

1 Open evolution
2 download a large number of mails
3 wait for evolution to expunge all mails
4 start reading some mails, gettting rid of spam.
5 Evolution hangs due to a problem with one mail (100% CPU)
6 Kill evolution by sending a kill -15
7 run killev to be sure
8 restart evolution
9 evolution needs to reread all mails form servers

I am on a slow connection, it took me more than 40 minutes to download
my mail. I am going to have to wait 40 minutes more, waste time and
money.
Furthermore I will now have hundreds of duplicate to sort again,
probably facing the risk of hanging again if I end up once more
rereading this email that hung me the first time.

I am not happy. :(

I would like to know if I should restart evolution each time I am
finished with a long operation to be sure that it won't end up in this
state again. That should not happen.
