Package: xfwm4
Version: 4.4.0-1
Severity: normal
With the xfwm4 options of not drawing the content of windows that are
being moved or resized activated, moving or resizing a window seems to
stop the other windows.
This is particularly noticeable for a sound player. For example if
`mplayer file.ogg' is started in xfce4-terminal and a window's wm bar is
grabbed by the mouse pointer without releasing the mouse button, then
the sound stops playing after a few seconds. If `mplayer file.ogg
>/dev/null' is started instead, the sound continues to play.
With the above mentioned options of xfwm4 disabled, the X programs are
not blocked. Since I do not know the details of X I do not know how to
collect useful information. Simply ask for more information if needed.
The same symptom is perhaps described in bug report #380639. However I
do not have compositing enabled in X.
Regards

The bug lies in application code and/or design, not in Xfwm.
