Hello,
A quick look into the interpreters section [in sid] shows that ruby
packages make up nearly half of it:
22:38 vinc...@tanyaivinco ~ grep-aptavail -s Package -FSection
interpreter | wc
411 822 9366
22:38 vinc...@tanyaivinco ~ grep-aptavail -s Package -FSection
interpreter | grep ruby | wc
181 362 4633
What about creating a 'ruby' section, then ? That would enable to
categorize ruby packages better. What is the general way to create a new
section ? The debian ruby team has seen an important growth in the past
few months (see for instance the alioth project page
https://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-ruby-extras/ ), among which a
fair amount of debian developers.
Cheers,
Vince
