Hi,
the latest version of eog is not installable since the package
libgnome-desktop-2-7 does not exist ... the dependency should probably
be changed into libgnome-desktop-2-11 or back to the previous
libgnome-desktop-2.

Please don't use severity: critical; it's used when a package loses
user data or breaks the whole system etc; here you have a simple
upgrade issue because you're running unstable. Don't run unstable if
you fear installability issues. Testing is meant exactly to avoid
this.
Because this issue is not a bug in the eog source, I'm closing it; it
will be solved when the release team schedules rebuilds against the new
gnome-desktop.
