Package: lists.debian.org
Severity: wishlist
Hi,
during the last days (especially on Jul 23) I noticed that I do not recieve
mails from Debian mailing lists.
Now I got a notice that I got unsubscribed from
[email protected].
The reason for this is a bounce:
<[email protected]>: host mail.sourceforge.net[66.35.250.206] said:
550-"rejected because your SMTP server, 70.103.162.31, is in the Spamcop
RBL. 550 See http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml for more information." (in
reply to MAIL FROM command)
The Debian host 70.103.162.31 is no longer black listed but I think it's a
good idea to inform you about this just in case you get other bug reports.
Now the situation is better and I got already more mails. Nevertheless I still
miss mails from debian-boot, I also was not unsubscribed from it (as far as
I know).
I suggest you filter bounced messages for this reason ("70.103.162.31",
"Spamcop") so that you can react on such events.
Would it also possible to redeliver such bounced mails?
Jens

Hi,
It happens from time to time that some DNSBL-Provider lists us on
their lists.
We are currently not on any list. Simply don't use them as single
criteria for blocking mails.
Yours,
Cord, Debian Listmaster of the day
