Package: newsyslog
Version: 1.8-2
Severity: normal
Unlike most other packages with '.d' support, newsyslog looks at all files
in its multiple-configuration-file directories (ie
/etc/newsyslog.daily), without skipping ones with a '.' in their name.
This means that when a file is moved out of the way during a package
installation (FILE -> FILE.dpkg-dist), it doesn't get disabled.
(This was actually tested on an etch system, but I didn't have reportbug
installed there.)

Sorry, I missed a Bugs: control field on this package. I've got this
one. It's a locally maintained package for now at least; I'm not sure
there's enough general interest to warrant an upload to Debian proper.
