Package: aptitude
Version: 0.4.1-1
Severity: minor
Attempting to display a package which has very recently been added to
debian archive fails with an error like
E: Couldn't fetch URL
http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/m/mono/mono_1.1.13.4-1/changelog
If possible, it would be best to either retrieve changelogs from normal
debian mirrors, so that it would be immediately kept up-to-date.
Alternately, p.d.o could regenerate changelog files immediately once
packages are moved into the archive.

Hi,
I added support for local changelogs in aptitude 0.5.1. This bug
wasn't closed because for some reason I couldn't find the bug number.
There are a few corner cases where it still won't work; they should
be fixed in the next release (mostly it's that aptitude checks first
whether the package is a Debian package, so non-Debian versions will
get the "not an official Debian package" message).
Thanks for the report,
Daniel
