Package: nautilus
Version: 2.26.2-3
Severity: normal
The sidebar in Nautilus no long appears. In the Gconf gui editor the option
for it to appear at start is checked. I've also run "gconftool-2 --type bool
--set /apps/nautilus/preferences/start_with_sidebar true" and that didn't
change anything either.

I’m afraid you really misunderstand how nautilus works, and I don’t know
why you are looking it up in gconf-editor. This is all in the nautilus
preferences.
