Package: libffado0
Version: 2.0~rc1+svn1539-1
Severity: important

Thers is an additional 'u' in the target of the symbolic link from libffado.so
to libffado.so.0.0.0 in /usr/lib/

This prevents ld from finding the library (for example)

ll /usr/lib/libffado*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   18 jun 27 12:33 /usr/lib/libffado.so ->
libffado.so.0.0.0u
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2,4M mai 17 17:52 /usr/lib/libffado.so.0.0.0

Hi!

This was a known compromise (see README.source in the package source).
Upstream did not provide a valid SONAME, that's why Ubuntu added 0.0.0
for SONAME and appended the "u" for marking it "Ubuntu specific".

Meanwhile, upstream has fixed the SONAME issue. The libffado1 package in
unstable contains this fix and is therefore not affected by this bug.

The libffado0 package is intended to go away, that's why I'm closing the
bug.

For your convenience: the libffado1 package should build fine in testing
if you don't want to wait for it to appear there automatically.
