Package: scponly
Version: 4.6-1

With this version of the package installed as shell (/usr/bin/scponly), it is not possible to connect with WinSCP in scp mode. The client complains about a problem while checking the groups, exactly as described in the README.Debian file. /var/log/auth.log also says that /usr/bin/groups is executed by scponly. However, since I do not use a chroot jail, the according solution from the README seems not to apply here.

Going back to version 4.0-1sarge1 solves the problem immediatly. SFTP mode is fine in both versions.

Details:

Linux 2.6.18-028test007.2-ovz #1 Thu Dec 14 13:59:27 CET 2006 i686 /lib/libc.so.6 -> libc-2.3.6.so

Best regards,
Peter Tröger.

Hi,

I'm about to upload scponly-4.8 which I can't reproduce the
problem with. Both SCP/SFTP either chrooted or non-chrooted
tested successfully with WinSCP (4.1.9)

Tom
