I've let others confirm this one:
a) it fails when using the same keyserver as I am: 
     subkeys.pgp.net
b) it succeeds when using the other (older) keyservers, e.g.
     wwwkeys.de.pgp.net

What I should also note is that I may possible have the same cause as
#151656, but I am missing the error messages described by weasel, and
thus, just for the sake of it, reporting it as a new bug.

Hi,

I'm going to close this report and #237253 because they are missing the
requested information. So no proof is available, that the problem still
exists in gnupg 1.4.x. Please feel free to comment my decision and/or
