Package: openoffice.org-pdfimport
Version: 0.4+OOo3.1.0-5
Severity: important
Hi!
I've just installed openoffice.org-pdfimport, since I need to
import PDF vector images (rather than JPEG, PNG, or other raster format
images) into a Writer document.
After installing openoffice.org-pdfimport, and restarting oowriter,
I fail to see any change in my possibility to insert PDF pictures.
If I select (from menus) Insert -> Picture -> From File..., I fail
to see "PDF" among the supported formats.
If I manually type the PDF filename and click on the Open button,
I get an error dialog window, saying:
Unknown graphics format
and the only think I can do is clicking on the OK button.
As far as I can see, this package seems to add no functionality to
OpenOffice.org.
Or at least, there seems to be no documentation on how to make any
use of the provided functionality.
Please help!
How can I insert PDF files as pictures into Writer documents?

No one claimed that would work.

Neither that.
Use simple File->Open.
