When running more than one jack at once (to use multiple cdroms), jacks
seems to abort in (I think) the ogg status parse. This is using distcmd,
which is ogg over ssh[0], but the status parse is the same:
'percent_fkt': """
s = split(i['buf'], '\\\\015')
if len(s) >= 2: s = s[-2]
if len(s) == 1: s = s[0]
y0 = find(s, "[")
y1 = find(s, "%]")
if y0 != -1 and y1 != -1:
percent = float(s[y0 + 1:y1])
else:
percent = 0
""",
At first, it died a few times with errors about float getting an empty
argument, so I added in "and y0 != u1", but then it lasted longer, and
died with complaining about an invalid value --- something like " 87.4".
Note the leading space.
I'm not sure where these come from, but I think that jack shouldn't
abort if the status routine throws an exception. I'm not nearly as
familiar with python as I should be (read: can barely read it, much less
write it), but I'm sure there must be a way to catch exceptions. Please
add them...
