Package: jabber
Severity: normal

When there is some syntax error in the jabber.xml file, for example,
the jabberd, when started manually, will output an error message
explaining what prevents it from starting. When using the init
script in the same situation, it looks like this:

prompt# /etc/init.d/jabber start
Starting jabberd: <Failed>prompt#

There is also no trace of an error message/explanation in any log
file under /var/log.

A fix for this bug was included in 1.6.1.1 version 2 years ago.
If there is some syntax error in jabber.xml file, jabberd will
indicate in which line occurred the parsing error.
