Package: insserv
Version: 1.12.0-10
Severity: normal
I cannot see where I did wrong:
mich...@feivel:~$ cat /etc/init.d/wd_keepalive
[...]
### BEGIN INIT INFO
# Provides: wd_keepalive
# Short-Description: Start watchdog keepalive daemon
# Required-Start: $remote_fs
# Required-Stop: $remote_fs
# X-Start-Before: acpi-support aumix binfmt-support dirmngr fam fancontrol
loadcpufreq kvm netdiag portmap quotarpc virtualbox-ose $syslog
[...]
mich...@feivel:~$ sudo update-bootsystem-insserv
info: Checking if it is safe to convert to dependency based boot.
info: Backing up existing boot scripts in
/var/lib/insserv/bootscripts-20090816T1517.tar.gz
info: Reordering boot system, log to /var/lib/insserv/run-20090816T1517.log
info: Recording new boot sequence in
/var/lib/insserv/bootscripts-20090816T1517-after.list
info: Use '/usr/sbin/update-bootsystem-insserv restore' to restore the old boot
sequence.
mich...@feivel:~$ ls /etc/rc2.d/S??[v-w]*
/etc/rc2.d/S20virtualbox-ose /etc/rc2.d/S20wd_keepalive /etc/rc2.d/S23wicd
/etc/rc2.d/S25watchdog
Although I tell insserv that wd_keepalive should be started before
virtualbox-ose it is not. All other scripts listed in that X-Start-Before line
are correctly run after wd_keepalive, only virtualbox-ose is not.
Or which mistake did I make?
