Package: emacs-goodies-el
Version: 29.4-1

This report is essentially a forward of Ubuntu bug #381188
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391188>

cwebm-mode is not functional in emacs-goodies-el, and should be disabled
or excluded. Attempts to edit files with a .w extension result in "File
mode specification error".

The entire contents of the file
/usr/share/emacs22/site-lisp/emacs-goodies-el/cwebm.el is a long
comment, with the following highlight:

;; Important note:
;;
;; I have removed the contents of this file at the request of the FSF
;; while the FSF try to get it licensed compatibly with Emacs, which the
;; FSF believes it modifies. If it doesn't get sorted out, I will remove
;; the file completely. If it does get sorted out, I'll replace this
with
;; the new version.

https://alioth.debian.org/scm/viewvc.php/emacs-goodies-el/elisp/emacs-goodies-el/cwebm.el?view=markup&revision=HEAD&root=pkg-goodies-el

The generated file emacs-goodies-loaddefs.el should not contain the
autoloads for cwebm until this is fixed (or perhaps cwebm should simply
be removed from the package).

If this were a real .signature, it would suck less. Well, maybe not.

The autogenerated file emacs-goodies-loaddefs.el has not contained
autoloads for cwebm for many versions of emacs-goodies-el now.

Might be time to remove the file though.
