Package: dh-make
Version: 0.41
Severity: wishlist

Both dpkg and flex (and other packages by Manoj) have much better
maintainer script templates than what is currently shipped by dh-make.
My feeling is that the dpkg comments are short but highly informative;
they should replace the existing dh-make template comments (though the
reference to policy might be kept). Manoj's maintscripts are
considerably longer, but contain added information, including
description of the paths and subcases.

BTW, dh-make postrm.ex presently has this age-old bug:

#        * <disappearer's-postrm> `disappear' <r>overwrit>r> <new-version>
                                                        ^^^^

Note the recently fixed bug against dpkg about its maintscript
comments, and the opened bug against debian-policy about the same.

Hello,
  This is an old bug and the maintscripts have had a few changes since
then. I think everything is now covered.
