Package: gnus
Version: 5.8.8-3

When browsing the info documentation for Gnus (either from within emacs
or from info), the manual from v5.7 is display. However, when running
`info -f /usr/share/info/gnus.gz', the correct manual is shown, i.e.
that from v5.8. The problem here is that the info file from the Gnus
shipped with emacs (/usr/share/info/emacs-20/gnus.gz) is being found
before the current one.

Thanks.

This seems to be corrected with GNU's install-info, I tried installing
several infos files including binutils.info and I could not reproduce it.
I expect that dpkg's install-info might have been confused by the + in the
c++filt entry.

Anyway closing the bug now that dpkg's install-info is gone.
