Package: lvm2
Version: 2.02.26-1

On my Sid machine (Intel Core 2) lvm2 init scripts stopped working after upgrade
from lvm2 2.02.24-6 to lvm2_2.02.26-1.

One of errors I noticed was

...
# /etc/init.d/lvm2 stop
Shutting down LVM Volume Groups/sbin/vgchange: relocation error:
/sbin/vgchange: symbol dm_regex_create, version Base not defined in file
libdevmapper.so.1.02.1 with link time reference
 failed!
...

As I have my precious data on affected machine, I swiftly downgraded to
2.02.24-6 which has saved the day, LVM start nicely again. Too bad I can't
provide more debugging data right now as I need this machine up and running.

This seems to be a problem in the dependencies. They are now managed
properly.
