Severity: wishlist

Hi all,
i would really like if you can modify katie to mail also
who signed the package more than the maintainer for 2 reasons:

for sponsored packages the entries for Maintainer and Change-By can
be left untouched and reflect the real maintainer entries and
at the same time the uploader will receive notification of the
upload status of the package without using any strange workaround.

for packages that uses a "virtual" Maintainer field and uses instead
Uploaders: the person who did the upload will receive immediatly
the notification of a success or a failure (we are all human
and shit can happen.. even to the best) and it is quite common
to use Debian Mailing lists as Maintainer so a faster feedback
is usefull.

As pointed by James on irc this might lead to duplicate emails
when the signer is also Maintainer, a simple check can solve
this problem.

If the Maintainer email is contained in the gpg key that
signed the package one mail will be sufficient. In the other case
it will catch the 2 cases in which the package has been sponsored
or the package is co-maintained (Uploaders:).

Thanks
Fabio

The package is removed and this bug no longer applies. (Alternatively it has
been fixed in whatever is current on ftpmaster.d.o). Thus closing it
