Package: bind9
Version: 1:9.5.1.dfsg.P2-1ubuntu0.1
Severity: wishlist

Hi LaMont,

libbind-dev now includes all header files and static libraries for
bind9. The problem is that ISC has release libbind (libbind-6.0)
and now libbind-dev occupies namespace of other existing library.

My suggestion is to rename libbind-dev to libbind9-dev which matches
reality more closely, or even to split up libbind-dev to individual
-dev packages, matching the names of shared libraries. I am willing
to do the work and send you a patch in this case. Also I am willing
to do the bug reporting for packages build-depending on libbind-dev:

Packages build depending on libbind-dev:
 dhis-dns-engine
 libnss-lwres
 wrapsrv
