Package: xfsprogs
Version: 2.0.3-1

One of my systems gets frequently locked up by xfs_freeze to create a LVM snapshot. The bug is described in the XFS Bug List:
http://oss.sgi.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=259
It is marked as "solved".

o The lockup does not occour every time
o It occures more often, when the snapshot is startet by a cronjob
o I hope to fix it with sync; sync; sync; before starting xfs_freeze as a workaround
o It does not seem to be caused by heavy load.

I think it is caused by lots of writing activities on the disk - the problem occeurs only on one of my machines. I am running the latest GNU/Debian 3.0 release with kernel 2.4.25, SMP with a vserver patch, SERVRaid 6i (ips.o)
Thanks for maintaining Debian,
regards, mt

This has never been a problem in xfsprogs, but only in old kernels.
Closing as no old enough kernel is available anymore in squeeze & co.
