Package: network-manager-gnome
Version: 0.7.1-1
Severity: wishlist
Any system user who wants to manage network connections with this smart
software must be member of the netdev group, right?
Then why isn't root asked during installation which users should be added to
the netdev group? The alternative seems to be a
"fail --> search the web --> fix as root --> try again" loop which could be
avoided by a simple dialog which triggers an adduser script.
This is one of the packages which really improves end-user experience, i think
it should work without "error" searching.

A default desktop install, which has consolekit installed, doesn't need the
manual setup of adding users to group netdev (it uses the at_console dbus
policy).
This is imho an even easier, and also more scalable solution, then adding users
to group netdev.
I consider this issue fixed. If you disagree, please reopen.
